The woman, who says she is old, writes ‘with some trepidation’ that Steendam’s gender is clearly visible through his pants and that she can therefore not concentrate properly on the news reports. She believes that Steendam should be held accountable for this and that he will wear longer jackets, for example. “It will only be your son who stands by,” she concludes.

entertainment">The SBS6 presenter responds courteously to the complaint. “It is of course not good that you are distracted during the broadcast by things that are happening in my crotch area. Unfortunately, as a young man, I can’t help that there is something there. Longer jackets are, I’m afraid, not an option,” he says.

entertainment">The presenter also doesn’t think it’s a good idea to ask colleagues to ‘check his crotch’ on a daily basis. “But what I can do is look in the mirror one more time before we start. I am very willing to do this for you. Then I hope you manage to focus a little more on my face in the meantime.”
