View tip! Nirvana with MTV Unplugged in New York

In the 90s there was the Unplugged craze, started by the much viewed and also on CD wildly selling acoustic performances in the show of the same name on MTV, which we then mainly saw as a clip channel. According to many (and with them, for example, Rolling Stone magazine), the best episode ever is the one with Nirvana. Leader Kurt Cobain, bassist Krist Novoselic and drummer Dave Grohl record their Unplugged show in 1993.

Funeral

At Cobain’s request, the stage is dressed as if you were attending a funeral and the group, including extra guitarist Pat Smear and cellist Lori Goldston, plays a set with quite a few surprises, such as their version of David Bowie’s The Man Who Sold The World. You can see Nirvana’s unforgettable Unplugged show on Friday, October 29 on NTR at 10:45 PM.
