Vietnamese carmaker Vinfast produced the first 100 copies of the electric crossover for the local market. Deliveries to the United States and Europe will begin shortly.
Vinfast produced the first 100 copies of the VF-8 electric crossover at its Haiphong (Vietnam) plant, which it has already delivered to domestic customers. The next step is 5,000 such vehicles, which will be shipped to dealerships in the US, Canada and Europe in December.
The VF 8 is available in Eco and Plus variants with an 82 and 87.7 kWh battery, which guarantees a range of up to 420 km, while the engine power is 260 kW (354 hp) or 300 kW (408 hp ), depending on the version selected.
The price of the Vietnamese crossover starts at 47,600 euros, and the buyer can choose a full-price car or a car whose battery he rents. In this case, the price reaches at least 499 euros for one month.
Vinfast reports that the VF-8 is warranted for ten years or 200,000 kilometers.
On September 16, the manufacturer will open an online forum where customers can share their experiences. It is known that the larger VF-9 will soon join the model range.
