The VinFast car brand, one of the components of the large Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup JSC, is the first Vietnamese carmaker to start selling the first cars with internal combustion engines on the domestic market only in 2019. But even then it had greater ambitions, which it is now fulfilling.
At the beginning of the week, the carmaker announced the opening of its offices in Europe and North America, where it wants to start offering its electric models. “VinFast has opened representative offices in five international markets and will soon open a showroom in California,“The parent company Vingroup boasted in a press release.

The carmaker recently boasted an ambitious goal of selling 56,000 electric cars next year, but due to the situation with a shortage of semiconductors, plans were limited to only 15,000 electric cars for next year. Last year, the carmaker sold 30,000 vehicles in its domestic market alone, but has not yet reached the green numbers.
In the European and North American markets, the carmaker plans to sell two electric SUV models – the smaller VF e35 and the larger VF e36. However, their sale should start only in March next year.
