Meanwhile, on Tuesday (27/9) the second Indonesia-Curacao match will be held at Pakansari Stadium in Cibinong.
The Vietnamese media, Soha, also highlighted the location of the second match between Indonesia and Curacao, which took place at the Pakansari stadium, which is considered a low quality pitch.
In the news published on Wednesday (21/9), Soha said Indonesia will use a “district” soccer field to welcome teams from the Americas.
“The Indonesian national team uses a ‘district level’ soccer field to accommodate the American team,” he wrote Soha in the title.
Soha assessed that the Pakansari stadium pitch was unsuitable for the Indonesian national team match against Curacao because it was reported to be flooded frequently.
Vietnamese media provided an example when a flood occurred in the Rans Nusantara FC vs Persik Kediri match which took place at Pakansari Stadium in a Liga 1 match some time ago.
“In the match of Rans Nusantara against Persik Kediri in the Indonesian league, the Pakansari stadium was flooded and there were a lot of puddles of water after the rain,” wrote Soha.
“And this stadium is the site of the friendly match between Indonesia and Curaçao on 27 September,” wrote Soha.
Initially, the second match between Indonesia and Curacao was supposed to be played at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), but was canceled because JIS was not deemed ready due to several problems. PSSI finally decided that Pakansari would replace JIS.
Despite receiving many protests and spotlights, PSSI has finally decided to hold the second Indonesia vs Curacao match at Pakansari Stadium. The PSI is also ready to finance the repair costs of the Pakansari stadium drainage.
