Vietnamese Media Highlights Indonesian National Team Without Egy Maulana Vikri

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

The Vietnamese media highlighted the absence A Maulana Vikri from Indonesian National team ahead of the second match of the teams in AFF Cup 2021 which will take place, Wednesday (15/12).

Egy has not been able to join the Red and White team players because he has an obligation to defend FK Senica.

In early December, Senica’s technical director David Balda said Egy would be at the club nicknamed Zahoraci until 18 December or until the club’s last game of the year against Trencin.

Thus, Egy could not strengthen the Indonesian national team in the group phase of the 2021 AFF Cup, including against Vietnam.

The Vietnamese media also highlighted the Garuda squad that will play without Egy. Bongda.com, Bongdaplus.vn, and Bongda24h, are some of the original online media outlets of Uncle Ho’s state that made news about Egy’s absence.

Some media labeled Egy as Messi from Indonesia and included him in the title, as did Bongda.com and Bongda 24h. Meanwhile, Bongdaplus called Egy’s absence bad news for the Indonesian national team.

Without Egy, coach Shin Tae Yong placed several players who were no less promising in the wing sector such as Irfan Jaya, Witan Sulaeman, and Kushedya Hari Yudo.

The last time Egy played for the Indonesian national team was in a test match against Afghanistan (16/11). After that, when his colleagues in the Garuda Squad underwent a test match against Myanmar, Egy returned to Slovakia to defend Senica.

The former Lechia Gdansk player started to get a place and became a mainstay on Senica’s wing. Since joining in August 2021, Egy has played 14 times with a duration of 761 minutes and scored two goals and four assists.
