MEDIA Vietnam, Soha.vn, went on a rampage after they saw the warmth shown Indonesian National team and Thailand in the final AFF Cup 2020, Saturday January 1, 2022. However, they rage not against the Indonesian and Thai national teams, but against the Golden Star fans – the nickname of Vietnam.
They called the Vietnamese national team fans too rigid. Vietnamese fans continue to think that Indonesia and Thailand are not worthy of appearing in the 2020 AFF Cup final.
Even the style of play of the Indonesian and Thai national teams is considered too rough, thus making it difficult for Vietnamese players to develop their game when dealing with the two countries above.
This is different from the fans of the Indonesian and Thai national teams. Almost no insults they direct against their respective national team opponents.
“There are still many Vietnamese fans who hinder and mock Thailand’s title. Many comments accuse Thailand of spending money to buy the title, when the referee ignores a mistake that could result in a red card or penalty,” wrote Soha.
“There are also many opinions from Vietnamese fans who accuse Thai players of playing badly, or Indonesia of playing rough but winning the Fair Play award,” continued Soha.
