Vietnamese VinFast cars will begin to be sold in Europe, reports Reuters. European regulators have already issued permission to supply the brand’s electric cars to the market.

By the end of the year, VinFast plans to begin sales in France, Germany and the Netherlands. If deliveries are successful, Europe could become the largest export market for the Vietnamese brand, which has already begun delivering its cars to the United States (a total of 2,100 units were delivered).

Moreover, if the flagship VF9 crossovers were supplied to the USA, the less expensive VF8 was announced for Europe. In 2024, the European VinFast line will also include the VF6, VF7 and VF9 crossovers.

VinFast is available with two powertrains. In the first case, the electric motors produce 354 hp. In top versions, power reaches 408 hp. Thanks to the 87.7 kWh battery, the range ranges from 447 to 471 km per charge.

Autonews.ru previously reported that VinFast planned to begin delivering cars to Russia. At the same time, the company first spoke about plans to enter the Russian market back in 2018.
