Origin airline Vietnam Pacific Airlines was attacked by netizens after the Thai national team AFF Cup 2022 champion.
Thailand won the 2022 AFF Cup after winning 1-0 over Vietnam in the second leg of the final at Thammasat Stadium, Monday (16/1). The victory made Thailand win 3-2 on aggregate over Vietnam.
After the victory, Thai netizens immediately raided Pacific Airlines’ social media accounts. Because Pacific Airlines previously made controversial uploads.
Ahead of the first leg of the 2022 AFF Cup final, the Thai squad headed to Vietnam using the airline.
Quoted from Thairath, the airline wrote: “We are proud to escort the runner up of the AFF Cup to Vietnam”. The article was made as a caption for uploading a photo of the War Elephant squad on the plane. However, the post was soon deleted.
After Thailand won the AFF Cup, Thai netizens immediately ‘praised’ the upload. Netizens even changed the upload with a photo of Vietnam and wrote “The runner up will actually return to Vietnam”.
The report also stated that the airline had temporarily closed its Facebook page, but the Instagram page was still functioning normally. Because of that, netizens flocked to Pacific Airlines’ Instagram account.
“Your bad behavior destroys your grades,” wrote palmkknt.
“Where was your last post? Very dishonest,” chubby_lady69 chimed in.
“Just want to say hi to the runner up,” said lieewww.
“Disgraceful! Unprofessional airline,” said apple_ontherock.
“Good luck. Another Vietnamese airline. We will never forget the runner up airline,” said jyj.ig.
