Elevating the Vietnam-US partnership to the full strategic level provides both countries with unprecedented development opportunities. Vietnamese companies will be able to integrate more supply chains of materials, spare parts and equipment for many sectors, such as energy, aviation, digital economy, artificial intelligence, and the ecosystem of semiconductor. The United States is particularly interested in high technology, the production of semiconductors and electronic chips.
To meet this growing need, it is urgent for Vietnam to improve the skills of professionals in these sectors.
To train its staff, FPT sent them to the most developed countries, including the United States, the European Union, Japan and the Republic of Korea, said its executive director, Nguyen Vinh Quang. FPT University recently inaugurated the Semiconductor Technology department, which offers training linked to American universities.
“We collaborate with American universities in two courses: production and design. These comply with international standards. We are also intensifying foreign language training for our students, particularly in English, Japanese and Korean,” said Nguyen Vinh Quang.
Today is Vietnam 10e trading partner of the United States. In 2022, bilateral trade turnover stood at $139 billion.
