Vietnam to Increase Rice Exports to Philippines Amid Food Production Problems

Xinhua News Agency reported from Hanoi. Vietnam on July 6 that Vietnam will increase rice exports to the Philippines. which are facing food production problems due to the impact of the El Niño phenomenon which has already happened in the second half of this year

According to a report by the National Statistical Office of Vietnam, Vietnam’s rice export volume in the first half of this year a 22.2 percent increase in volume and a 34.7 percent increase in value year on year.

not long ago The Vietnamese government has approved a rice export plan. which aims to reduce annual shipments from 7.1 million tons in 2022 to 4 million tons in 2023, while planning to diversify export markets. especially in markets with demand for grains which is of high quantity quality and markets in which Vietnam has also signed a free trade agreement.

In addition, the report added that Vietnam is the world’s third largest rice exporter after India and Thailand.
