Hanoi (VNA) Vietnam will export two million doses of the ASF vaccine to the Philippines and Indonesia from now until next October, the Department of Veterinary Medicine (DMV) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development reported.
According to Nguyen Van Long, head of the DMV, the Philippines previously imported 300,000 doses of it.
In Vietnam, vaccine production companies are coordinating with localities in rolling out immunization for pig herds, he stressed.
At the same time, he stressed that not only livestock households, farms and entities also use ASF vaccine for pigs.
The aforementioned vaccines sent to the markets in the world are expected to achieve good results, which will create opportunities for the commercial expansion of this antiviral substance from the Indochinese nation, he reiterated.
Previously, after using 600,000 doses of vaccine against African swine fever in more than 40 provinces and cities with safe and effective results, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development sent a document to the Popular Committees of localities subordinated to the central government on the use of that antiviral substance on a large scale.
Vietnam currently has two types of ASF vaccines, namely NAVET-ASFVAC and AVAC ASF LIVE, both of which have received circulation certificates./.
