Vietnam to cooperate with China to ease entry after optimizing China’s COVID-19 response policies
Vietnamese local authorities are working closely with their Chinese partners to implement cooperative activities for the benefit of both sides after China’s optimization of COVID-19 response policies on Jan. said Thursday the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Vietnamese nationals wishing to travel to other countries, including China, should follow the updates of visa policies, immigration policies and COVID-19 related regulations of those countries, Pham Thu Hang said, deputy spokesperson for the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a press briefing.
Regarding the collaboration between Vietnam and China to ensure the flow of goods, she said that the authorities of the two countries have maintained regular exchanges and made efforts to ensure that trade activities and supply chains supplies are maintained unhindered, while implementing the joint statement made during General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit to China last year and in the spirit of high-level discussions.
During the Lunar New Year, a number of Chinese border crossings will implement measures to facilitate customs clearance, including customs clearance by advance appointment, she noted.
Localities and local businesses should update themselves on this information, and work with their Chinese partners to develop a plan for transportation and customs clearance of goods, said the deputy spokesperson.
