Middle Vietnam, Vietnam News, wrote about the importance of eating pork for Vietnam national team players in the 2021 AFF Cup.
“Once again, this may seem trivial, but athletes feel they need to feel comfortable like at home so they can do their best. Because it can have an effect on winning and losing,” wrote Vietnam News.
“The level of physical performance can also drop without adequate nutritional intake and then there will be a psychological impact of being in a foreign place by eating foreign food.”
Vietnam News also said Park Hang Seo’s men might not feel too much of the impact of not eating pork during an easy 2-0 win over Laos in the first match of Group A of the AFF Cup.
However, according to Vietnam News, the impact of this food problem will affect the team’s performance at the end of the AFF Cup tournament.
“Vietnam may find it easy to beat a small team Laos by two goals. And this problem seems nil in their opening match, but this aspect they will need in the later stages of the tournament and they will feel the difference between consuming chicken and pork,” wrote Vietnam News.
Previously, the Vietnam national team complained about the servings with small portions and the menu was considered not to meet the nutritional needs of the players in the AFF Cup.
