Vietnam Lowers Fuel Prices Four Times in a Row

Jakarta

Vietnam announces decision to lower prices BBM retail. This decision is the fourth time in a row.

Reporting from Xinhua, Saturday (9/12/2023), the price of E5 RON92 fell by 509 dong or Rp. 327/liter. This means the price will be 21,290 dong or Rp. 13,683/liter.

Then the price of RON95-III fuel was cut by 668 dong/liter to 22,322 dong or the equivalent of Rp. 14,346/liter. For diesel, it also fell by 475 dong/liter to 19,721 dong or the equivalent of IDR 12,675/liter.

Meanwhile, the price of kerosene fell slightly by 194 dong/liter to 20,922 dong or the equivalent of IDR 13,446/liter. Price changes take effect from Thursday (7/12) at 15.00 local time.

Vietnam’s Ministry of Finance, Industry and Trade adjusts prices BBM The government decided not to use fuel and oil price stabilization funds. Since the beginning of this year, petrol prices in Vietnam have been adjusted 35 times.

World crude oil prices are still volatile in line with geopolitical conditions. Oil prices strengthened in weekend trading, Friday (8/12), but are still on track for their longest weekly decline since 2018.

This was triggered by concerns about global oversupply and investors doubting that supply cuts by OPEC+ would be an effective solution.
