HANOI, iNews.id – Vietnam brings U-21 team to play in AFF Cup U-23 2022. This is in contrast to Indonesia.
Quoted from Vietnamese media, Bongda, Wednesday (5/1/2022), The Golden Star Warriors intentionally fielded U-21 players at the AFF U-23 2022 event which took place in Cambodia on 14-26 February.
Because they want to focus on preparing players for the 2022 SEA Games which will take place next May in Vietnam. The names of U-23 stars such as Bui Hoang Viet Anh, Nguyen Thanh Binh, Nguyen Hai Long, were absent.
Then Vietnam’s top club HAGL only donated one player, Tran Bao Toan. This is an interesting decision, especially since Vietnam will enter the hell group in the 2022 AFF U-23 Cup with Thailand and Singapore.
What The Golden Star Warriors did was inversely proportional to the defending champion Indonesia. PSSI has stated that it will field full strength in the 2022 AFF U-23 Cup.
