Moscow (VNA) – The president of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), Nguyen Phuong Nga, held a working meeting with leaders of the Assembly of the Eurasian Peoples, in the framework of President Nguyen Xuan’s visit Phuc a Russia.
The president of that entity, Andrey Belyaninov, expressed the desire to intensify cooperation with VUFO and Vietnamese people’s organizations in order to increase understanding between the peoples of Vietnam and Eurasia, contributing to socio-economic progress and the fulfillment of the UN sustainable development goals.
For his part, Phuong Nga agreed with the proposal to further promote popular exchange and cooperation between the two entities.
The two parties agreed to intensify cooperation in the organization of conferences and seminars on topics such as green development, digital transformation and different aspects of tourism, as well as in the dissemination of the culture and languages of both nations.
On the occasion, Belyaninov presented the commemorative medal “We Say Thank You” to Nguyen Phuong Nga for his contributions to strengthening friendship between the peoples of Asia and Europe, and initiatives for peace in the region. /.
