Demand for the bachelor’s programs at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) continued to rise in 2023. Again, there are significantly more applicants than places: over 4,500 people registered for economics and social sciences (2,703 places available), over 1,400 people for business law (870 places available) and almost 3,000 for business and economics (240 places available). There are entrance exams in all three courses.
It starts with the exam for the English-language bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics, which will take place digitally on June 27 due to the large number of international applicants. An online open book exam for economics and social sciences will follow on July 4th, in which tools such as internet resources and teaching materials may be used. A joint learning weekend will take place on July 7th and 9th before the entrance exam for business law, which will be held in attendance on July 11th.
“The unbroken interest in studying at WU is a sign of the attractiveness of our university, but also of the passion and motivation of the future students,” emphasized Rector Edeltraud Hanappi-Egger in a press release.
