Like every year around Christmas time, the question of all questions arises: Will there be snow on Christmas Eve? The chances that you can look forward to a white Christmas in Vienna are increasing, as a local inspection shows.

Some Austrians will most likely be happy about snow on Christmas Eve. Large amounts of snow and the storm “Zoltan” are currently causing traffic chaos and several fire brigade deployments – we reported.

But what is the situation in Vienna? A local inspection shows: Ms. Holle is shaking out her pillows. Several snowflakes find their way onto Vienna’s meadows and streets – a truly Christmas idyll. The landscape is already slightly sugary – now we have to keep our fingers crossed and hope. If the snowfall continues or even increases, there could be a white Christmas in Vienna.
