In Vienna, Austria, a law enforcement officer wearing a helmet with the letter “Z” on Christmas Day caused a stir, prompting the capital’s police to give an explanation.
This was reported by “European Truth” with reference to the press service of the Vienna police in Twitter (X).
As the Viennese police noted, Z is the first letter of the surname of their colleague, “who marked his helmet as part of operational training so that he would be recognized.”
“The colleague did not pay attention to the symbolism, but, of course, was informed and the marking was removed,” the report said.
The police emphasized that this letter was not a reference to Russia.
Let us remind you that in March, a court in the German city of Wiesbaden decided to fine a man 1,500 euros who went to work wearing a T-shirt with a symbol of Russian aggression – letter Z.
