The Viennese dance season started on Friday at 11:11 am with the carnival. Preparations are in full swing and managers are extremely optimistic. “After two difficult years, the organizers can expect a revival of Viennese dances,” said Markus Grießler, head of the tourism and leisure industry section of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. To kick things off, dance schools invited to the Stephansplatz quadrille, just in time for the carnival to begin.
