Initially, the request was formulated as a question, later – probably due to lack of success – also as a demand. Police officers who were deployed at the Vienna City Marathon temporarily arrested the man on Franzensbrückenstraße.
The knife was secured, it said in a broadcast on Monday. The 25-year-old should not have received cash from any of the passers-by.
