A father is said to have shaken his baby in the 23rd district of Liesing in Vienna. Like his mother, he is faced with pre-trial detention.
In the case of a baby shaken by his father in Vienna-Liesing and critically injured, both parents were arrested on Friday. Nina Bussek, spokeswoman for the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office, confirmed a corresponding report in the “Kronen Zeitung” (Saturday edition). The 31-year-old is said to have shaken the two-and-a-half-month-old child, the mother (22) observed the act but did not intervene, the police reported on Thursday.

Helicopter was on duty for baby
The abuse of the baby was therefore already committed on June 4th in the apartment in Liesing. The parents initially denied the crime, but were later arrested and confessed. According to the police, the father may have shaken the baby several times to “calm it down”. The little girl suffered “massive injuries” and was taken to a hospital by helicopter.
