Vienna Amateurs away at Red Star Penzing
After the confident victory against SV Gerasdorf Stammersdorf, the Vienna Amateurs face a new challenge in the Vienna City League on Friday: The team will face Red Star Penzing away. The game will be played at the Red Star sports field, kick-off is at 6 p.m.
Successful start to the season
With two wins in the first two league games, the Vienna Amateurs have moved to the top of the Vienna City League table. Six points currently mean a three-point lead over their upcoming opponents Red Star Penzing. The young team from Döbling is determined to score the maximum number of points in this duel.
Head coach Gökce Tuna is satisfied with the way things have gone so far: “The boys are doing an excellent job. Our goal is to win every game and so far we have achieved that. However, I expect the next two games to be particularly challenging as the upcoming opponents are stronger.”
Red Star Penzing with defeat in the last round
Red Star Penzing suffered a defeat against 1980 Vienna in the last round and is currently in the middle of the table in eighth place with three points. However, Red Star was able to impress at the start of the season with a 2-0 win against Hellas Kagran. In a warm-up match against Vienna Amateure, the two teams parted ways with a 1-1 draw, which suggests an exciting encounter.
Trainer Gokce Tuna shows respect for the opponent, but also confidence: “Red Star Penzing is a well-rehearsed team with a clear tactical approach.
