The fact that advice will be given again on Thursday in the Vienna City Hall is due to the increasing number of infections. So it is in the room that tomorrow more tightening will be announced – even if Ludwig did not want to speculate about the results of the meeting, in which experts from the fields of health, medicine or prognostics will again take part.
New negative record:
A new high was recorded in Austria on Wednesday: In the past 24 hours, 6,506 new infections have been reported, in Vienna there are 805 new cases.

The deliberations will take place one day before the summit initiated by the federal government with the governors on Friday. However, the Vienna appointment had already been agreed in advance, it was assured.
Multiple access only for vaccinated and convalescent people
Vienna recently extended the current rules, which are stricter than the current federal ordinance, until the end of the month. In some places, tests are no longer valid as evidence; only those who have been vaccinated or who have recovered are allowed access (2-G rule). This applies to night gastronomy and large events for over 500 people. In addition, 3-G became mostly 2.5-G. This means that in places where people who have been tested have access, they have to present a PCR test. In the retail trade, one relies exclusively on FFP2 masks. Mouth and nose protection is no longer sufficient in shops.
Until recently, Vienna was the only federal state with its own measures. But the picture has changed in the meantime. Other federal states have also introduced more restrictive regional regulations.
