Vienna: a demonstration, how it works

It was deemed too long with, in addition, two ratings. However, we have many retirees. We cut the pear in half with a start at the Madeleine. The arrival at Place d’Armes is very symbolic. »

When is the declaration made to the prefecture?

Ch. R. : “Once we have agreed, representatives of the CFDT and Unsa are mandated to do so. »

Have the courses always been validated?

Ch. R
. : “The prefect of Vienne, as long as you respect the rule of three working days, does not pose a problem. We avoid using the shopping streets so as not to disturb the activity and prevent possible acts of degradation. »

How is the procession organized for the parade?

Ch. R. : “We discuss again each time the order of the participants. The CGT asked to be in the lead this Tuesday after the CFDT on January 19 and the FSU on January 31. »

Who provides security?

Ch. R. : “Each organization is supposed to have its own security service. At the CFDT, six people ensure the safety of our activists. Last Tuesday, we succeeded in channeling students who wanted to go to the station and reminded young people who went on the railway tracks of the danger they were incurring for their safety. »

What are the relations with law enforcement?

Ch. R. : “The main trade union organizations have preparatory meetings with the police and remain in contact throughout the duration of the demonstration. »

How do you organize the entertainment?

Ch. R. : “Each trade union organization takes charge of its activities. »

J. H. : “The UD puts its sound truck and the equipment at the disposal of the engine buddies of the fight, like the CGT energy. Tuesday, we will offer it to the comrades of the territorial, very concerned with closures at the CCAS de Poitiers. The fellow postal workers have their own sound system which is not glued to the truck. The CGT Cheminots takes care of the logistics, the distribution of leaflets… This allows us to federate and create links. »

Châtellerault: departure at 10 a.m., sports hall, arrival at the kiosk.

Poitiers: departure at 2 p.m., Stade de la Madeleine, arrival at Place du Maréchal-Leclerc.
