Of the fourteen pitches in the Condoumines activity zone, there is only one pitch left available for sale.
A new building is under construction in the activity zone. In November, it should welcome the Castres company Ducros & Soulet, specialist in industrial refrigeration and air conditioning.
“This will allow us to benefit from larger and better equipped premises”, explains Jean-François Vicente, manager of the company which now has eight employees and which is now expanding.
It is the attractiveness of the price which led to the choice of the area of activity which guided the choice of the company which wanted to leave the city. “It’s also a site which is relatively well placed, there is easy access to Toulouse” emphasizes Jean-François Vicente.
The “workshop” part will have a surface area of 360 m2 allowing repairs to be carried out on site with a storage part. 120 m2 of office space will complete the site. If it is not a store with a sales area, a “show room” space is also provided with heat pumps and air conditioners in order to be able to visualize the material in a way that is sometimes more relevant than on a catalog in paper or digital version. “80% of our clientele is made up of industrialists” confides Jean-François Vicente even if the company’s activity is not reserved for them.
If the schedule is maintained, the company’s move should take place next November, a deadline that should be met: “The move is already scheduled, we have schedules for the sites, everything is set” underlines the manager who was in the same premises for twenty years near the avenue d’Albi. This move will also allow some staff members to be closer to where they live.
With this operation the activity area now displays almost full. “It’s always interesting to welcome a new company to the area that is already well established,” says Frédéric Molière, vice-president of the CCLPA in charge of the economy, continuing “Of the fourteen plots in the area, there are there is only one left at the entrance which has not yet found a taker, we are at the private sub-signature and notarial deeds”.
It is therefore an upheaval which is announced in Condoumine an area which, if it is ideally located on the edge of the axis of the D112 and a few minutes from Castres had for many years had great difficulty in “taking off”.
