Austria’s largest pop culture trade fair will soon return and this time will take place on November 23rd and 24th, 2024 at Messe Wien. The constructor and facility manager of Messe Wien is the Vienna holding company Wiener Messe Beteiligung GmbH.
After a successful convention in 2023, the Vienna Comic Con is already around the corner this year: Austria’s largest pop culture trade fair will take place from November 23rd to 24th, 2024 at the Messe Wien. Visitors can look forward to breathtaking performances, world-famous stars and, above all, lots of entertainment from all areas of pop culture.
The weekend from November 23rd to 24th, 2024, the Vienna Trade Fair will be pimped up and polished up to make fans’ eyes shine. Diversity and diversity are the top priority: from an expanded content creator area, to an e-sports arena, to the drag queen stage and the largest artist alley in Austria with over 400 exhibitors.
Sci-Fi star Claudia Christian meets UCA tournament excitement
Many people associate the name Claudia Christian with the fearless commander Susan Ivanova from Babylon 5: undoubtedly the role that helped her break through. But the US actress’s biography offers much more than science fiction thrills: her participation in soaps, TV series and feature films is just as much a career highlight for the series grande dame as her “voting” for characters in famous games such as Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4. As a star guest at this year’s Vienna Comic Con, she brings a lot of creativity and inspiration with her.
Bernhard Hennen & stars of the cosplay squad
As the author of The Elves, Bernhard Hennen is one of the best-known German-speaking fantasy authors. The novel series, consisting of six books, has reached millions of fantasy fans since the early 2000s. The author himself won the German Fantasy Prize 2018. The VIECC® 2024 also creates a fantastic atmosphere on site: well-known cosplayers enliven the convention with their breathtaking costumes and convincing character imitations. Anime cosplayer Anealic, Maul Cosplay and the Norwegian fantasy cosplayer Sophie Riis are just some of the stars of the cosplay squad who will be gracing the Messe Wien.
From Troy to Aquaman: Action star Vincent Regan graces Vienna
The headliner Vincent Regan is not a newcomer to the Hollywood world: the Welsh-born actor first gained international fame through his role as Leonidas’ captain in 300. Since then, he has appeared in countless action and fantasy films: sometimes as a superhero, sometimes as an action-packed villain. He was also seen in Wolfgang Peterson’s Troy as Eudoros, in Aquaman as King Atlanta and as Cepheus in Clash of the Titans. He most recently thrilled fans in his role as Monkey D. Garp in the Netflix production One Piece. Regan is currently playing Rickard Thorne in the current season of House of the Dragon.
Action-Held Craig Fairbrass
The Brit Craig Fairbrass is known to many from film and TV, as well as as a gaming character: in addition to classics such as Cliffhanger (1993) with Sylvester Stallone, he plays in the Netflix production “One Piece” and plays “Arkad” in the Sci-Fi series. Fi classic series “Stargate SG1” and poses as a hooligan in the Footsoldier series (2007-2023). He also reached many fans through his voice as “Ghost” in the gaming series “Call of Duty – Modern Warfare”. Visitors to Vienna Comic Con can look forward to exciting panel talks, photo opportunities and autograph sessions with the international star.
