Videotron will soon launch a new video on demand platform, Vrai, which will offer dozens of original productions revolving around documentaries, entertainment and lifestyle.
The subscription platform, which will be launched soon in 2021, will initially give access to around forty original non-scripted productions in French, Videotron unveiled on Wednesday.
However, the catalog promises to grow quickly to reach a hundred original Quebec titles by the end of 2022, in addition to international acquisitions.
Vrai will allow its subscribers to explore several themes, including “docu-realities, tele-realities, humor, decoration, travel, foodie content, social issues and certain themes that will feed guilty pleasures,” said Videotron.
Nine productions have already been announced. In particular, host Chantal Lacroix will help people regain control of their lives in “Demain tout est possible”; Bianca Longpré and François Massicotte will star in the docu-reality “Bianca vis d’famille”; Jonathan Roberge will lead viewers into the world of Montreal crime with “The war of hold-ups” and several comedians will confide in Jean-Michel Anctil in “My outstanding numbers”.
