Videos have appeared of Samsung’s concept glasses. The operation is largely done via other devices, such as a keyboard, smartwatch and game controller. The status of the concepts is unknown.
Of videos, who came online via WalkingCat, show thick-rimmed glasses that project a screen into users’ view. These are concepts for two glasses: Glasses and Glasses Lite. The exact functioning of the glasses or the specifications are not mentioned: it seems that it is a concept video that should show what the glasses can do and how they can be operated.
This is done with gestures in the air, but also with a keyboard, controller and smartwatch. It can also be seen that the user touches the glasses to operate them. The technology that shows the glasses, including holographic bubbles, is not yet available or not widely available. Partly because of this, a product like this seems years away.
Manufacturers more often make concept videos to show what is possible with certain future techniques or products. Samsung has not responded to the online appearance of the two videos, nor has it confirmed that the videos are really from the manufacturer.
