The video, posted to Facebook on January 30, 2021, shows Clement Fritot, in shorts and sneakers. During this period troubled by the health crisis which prevents athletes from meeting each other, the secretary of theLisieux table tennis association announces a small sports session, to allow licensees to “keep fit and motivation”.
After a few jumps, a message interrupts the video: “Clément doesn’t know it yet, but no table tennis player pays attention to his physique, even less at the ASTTL … We therefore prefer to stop this video and leave Clément alone in his garden” .
The president’s “favorite”
This is the type of publications that punctuate the life of the ASTT Lisieux Facebook page. “It’s a club with a lot of humor”, smiles its president, Nathalie Migliorin. Since last summer, Clément Fritot has been in charge of the page. Former club player, this 22-year-old young man left for Brest (Finistère) for his studies, but remains very involved in his favorite club.
In addition to being a member of the board, the president’s “crush” is therefore increasing the number of publications, always full of humor: interviews with current and former players, montages, “Secrets of Table Tennis History”, videos – “Who Wants To Earn Millions Of Points?” “,” Pingpong champagne TV “, etc -, and inevitably a lot of rooms.
“Continue to keep the club alive”
“It deserves to be seen! “, Considers Nathalie Migliorin. Above all, in these times of Covid, these jokes are very important for the table tennis association of Lisieux: it is a way to keep links between members, and “to continue to keep the club alive”, including activities were brought to a halt in mid-October, like all indoor sports.
The table tennis room is ringing hollow at the moment, like the whole Mimoun gymnasium: only an internship in December and the work of the office brought a little animation. While waiting to meet again to strike the white ball, the table tennis players meet on the page to exchange a few valves.
A Facebook page which testifies to the good-natured atmosphere and returns a positive image of the club, which has suffered like many others a sharp drop in the number of licensees this season: “We are 60-70, whereas last year we went up to 110, ”says Nathalie Migliorin. Future players are warned: failing to arrive with a powerful lift, they will have to arm themselves with humor.
