“I condemn things like that. They shouldn’t happen. People went home because four idiots were throwing things. UEFA should take action, but nothing was done. We spoke to a the investigation of the game – for 15 minutes we declared that objects were being thrown on the pitch, but no action was taken,” said Oyarsaval.

“We were told what happened. I understand that the game would be stopped if our fans were in danger. I don’t know if it was [spēles inspektors] want to stop the game or not, but I believe that the game should be stopped. Our fans, including families and children, cannot be allowed to be in danger,” the coach said.

Anderlecht’s press service condemned the behavior of the fans in a statement. “We are extremely disappointed by the behavior of these fans. Five people have been arrested, so the club will wait for UEFA’s report before imposing sanctions. We agree that it would not be an event like this should be part of football.”

The Latvian RFS champion’s home game against “Anderlecht” is scheduled for November 7.
