The total number of Cupra Formentor cars sold in Latvia is currently 160, of which 88 are in the powerful VZ modification. In turn, the total number of Born sold in Latvia this year is 56 cars. Last year, the number of cars sold by Cupra was 29, but now it is 160. Currently, an average of 35-40 Cupra cars are sold per month.

One of the main “culprits” of this growth is the Cupra Formentor. A car with a sporty look and quite a powerful soul. What makes this model unique is that it was designed specifically for the Cupra brand, and you won’t find a similar design outline in the features of either the Seat or any other VW Group car.

Studio “RJ76 Films” show “Your Car TV“These cars were judged by two guys whose lives are intertwined with the” Cupra “brand. Renārs Zeltiņš is the messenger of this brand in Latvia, but Normunds Rutulis has become the owner of Cupra Formentor.

The Born is the second model in the Cupra range to be unmatched in the Seat catalog. Although from the side this car is clearly reminiscent of an electric Volkswagen ID.3 – a car with which it shares its technological platform – looking like a “nose”, it resembles a cross between a superbike and a car of the future. In terms of interior, it is a real athlete: its front panel is made in a minimalist style, but the seats are deep with monolithic backs.

The price of both cars is almost identical: Born costs from 39,500 euros, Formentor VZ from 38,000 euros. The cars in the story are richer – the price of the Cupra Formentor VZ in this case is 45,000 euros, but in the Born – 47,000 euros. , quite dynamic and very economical.

Depending on the version, the Born has a power output of 150 to 231 hp and has classic wheel drive. At 50 km / h this car can reach in just 2.6 seconds and at 100 km / h in 6.6 seconds. The Formentor, on the other hand, is also available in a single-wheel drive, equipped with a much more economical 1.5-turbocharged or 1.4-liter hybrid engine, when less power is required. If you don’t feel sorry for the fuel, the temptation of 310 horsepower is worth it! The Formentor is just made for this engine: its sound and dynamics captivate in an instant … this car can reach 100 km / h in 4.9 seconds, but its top speed is limited to 250 km / h.

The strength of both of these cars is the nuances that make them different from the rest. Of course, each of these cars has its pros and cons. Some may still be afraid of e-mobility, while others do not consume more than 10 liters of fuel per 100 km.
