This KLM 747 City of Lima has just been welcomed in a special way at the Johan Adolf Pengel international airport of Suriname. In this way, the airport says goodbye to the Boeing 747-400, one of the most iconic passenger aircraft.
It is being replaced by more efficient aircraft such as the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. KLM would phase out all Boeing 747s by 2021 at the latest, but due to the corona crisis, this will happen earlier. So today the last flight from Suriname is back to the Netherlands.
