VIDEO Volkswagen presented the ID 7 electric model at CES in Las Vegas which will have a range of up to 700 km

Volkswagen presented its electric model with the longest range, the ID 7, at the CES technology fair in Las Vegas, which will also have variants capable of traveling up to 700 km between charges. The car will have several body and battery variants.

The ID 7 will be on sale from the end of 2023 and is slightly longer than the VW Passat model, but also the electric Tesla Model 3, being 4.94 meters long.

The ID 7 is built on the modular MEB platform and will be assembled at the German plant in Emden, where the ID 4 is also currently produced.

There will be a 15-inch central display, and one of the novelties is the existence of digitally controlled air vents. If the driver has cold hands, he can give a voice command to direct warm air towards the steering wheel to warm his hands.

Initially the car will be offered with a 77 kWh battery, but a more powerful version will follow, in which the promised range will be around 700 km, one of the longest in the segment.

Since CES in Las Vegas is a show of technology and color, Volkswagen chose to camouflage the car under 40 layers of special paint.
