Vietnam started the Covid-19 mass vaccination program on Monday (8/3).
Health workers are the top priority for giving the corona vaccine.
The Vietnamese government plans to provide free vaccines for citizens with priority on medical personnel, security forces, diplomats, teachers, and the elderly over 65 years.
Last month the Vietnamese government said it would get 150 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine through the COVAX scheme.
Vietnam has won global acclaim after successfully curbing the spread of the coronavirus by closing borders from the start, mass testing and a strict quarantine program.
Compared to other countries in Southeast Asia, the transmission rate of the corona virus in Vietnam is low.
The country of 96 million has only reported around 2,500 cases with 35 deaths.
