This Sunday afternoon a strong hailstorm caused the collapse from the roof of a supermarket with social name Soriana in the mayor Benito Juarez.
In videos that circulate on social networks, people are seen trying to help others who, allegedly, mention that they were trapped under the rubble.
According to the report of the Mexico City Firefighters, who are working on the scene, the collapsed structure measures approximately 1,000 square meters.

In the video, you can hear the person who is recording ask “Did anyone stay inside, boss?”, while other people walk from one side to the other asking if someone is under the collapsed roof.
Then you hear “the pharmacy” shout, since the structure fell on part of that area.
You can also hear the person recording “Yes, there are people on that side.”

In other video people are seen leaving the place in the midst of panic over the collapse of the structure.

A user of social networks also showed the damage of the roof dropwhile in the background the ambulances that are close to the scene can be heard.

CDMX authorities are already working on the spot.

Around 8:50 p.m., the head of the Secretariat for Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection of Mexico City, Miriam Urzúa Venegas, arrived at the scene to coordinate actions with authorities from the mayor’s office, where meets the mayor Santiago Taboada.
Urzúa Venegas reported that so far the balance due to the collapse is white.
The events occurred on Revolution Avenue and Caravaggioin the San Juan neighborhood, Benito Juárez City Hall.
