What happened? On several images from Actu Toulouse internet users, thick smoke is visible in the Toulouse sky, this Monday, August 5, 2024 in the evening. The firefighters did intervene in the Barrière district of ParisLaunaguet road, for a fire. Explanations.
A van fire
In the images of Internet users, black smoke spreads in the sky from Toulouse. But don’t panic. 16 firefighters were called out to a fire involving a van with a trailer and a boat in the Barrière district of Paris, in Toulouse, around 8:30 p.m.
“The fire spread to a pile of tires near the railway track,” the firefighters detailed in their report. This thick black smoke can therefore be explained by the burnt material: the tires !
Indeed, the burning tire emits intense heat with dense black smoke that can be impressive. For the moment, the circumstances of this fire are not known.
