Wednesday April 28 will have marked the history of France Bleu Normandie (Seine-Martime / Eure). It is indeed the first broadcast live from the radio in video on the television channels, those of France 3. An evolution is carried by the two public service companies France Bleu and France 3.
Sylvie Acquaviva, regional director of France 3 Normandie and Jean-Emmanuel Casalta, director of France Bleu, are present on the premises to attend the first broadcast on April 28.
We are delighted with this collaboration. We are very proud to be of service to our fellow citizens.
For Pierre Desaint, director of France Bleu Normandie, this Wednesday April 28 is the culmination of a preparation of several weeks. The main radio studio had to be redesigned to install cameras, lights and decor. “This is really an extremely important step in setting up the studio and adapting it to television.. “. And then the teams had to undergo training: how to look at the camera, how to stand in front, including an introduction to make-up. It’s a change from the radio!
This is a real bonus for us. Because it is an opportunity for listeners to also become viewers, to listen to the radio and watch it at the same time.
A new profession on the radio: journalist visual editor
Installed in a room on the first floor of the premises of France Bleu Normandie in Rouen, Marie Gruel faces multiple screens. A journalist by training, she is the one who puts the radio into images for television. This new job, journalist visual editor, requires concentration and a lot of preparation. It is she who manages the cameras, the scrolling of information, the airing of the images on the reports of the journalists of the radio.
During the show, the radio is very, very fast and it changes all the time.
If Marie arrives very early on the radio to prepare the show, her work accelerates during the morning hours. “It often happens that journalists modify, add new information, delete it, etc.” She must therefore write and prepare while she manages the live.
The final word: messages from listeners
They are the first concerned: the listeners of the radio. What did they think of this premiere? Here are some of their messages left on the France Bleu Normandie Facebook page.
