Pandemic or not, openly gay musician John Duff proves he is resourceful with a decidedly fun and uninhibited clip for his latest single.
While it is always advisable to stay wisely at home to avoid the spread of Covid-19, openly gay American musician John Duff seems to be very stuck on health recommendations. In his latest music video for his track “Do It”, the American singer dances in a crop-top and Speedo in his bedroom, before vacuuming in stilettos. Well, it may not be quite comfortable but the idea is not there. With this freshly released single, the openly homosexual artist especially encourages letting go. And this is no refusal!
A queerness assumed
“As a 31-year-old gay man who is getting into music, I’m aware of the issues, he said in a press release to push the release of the song. Are people going to laugh at me? Probably… but I don’t lose anything if I do. But that said, if I give up, that’s where I lose something “. Age is just a number, and John Duff got it right. Since his debut with his song “Girly” two years earlier, the singer proves that he has started out in music above all to have fun. As well as his listeners, with a very pop and ostensibly queer discography.
This queer side, which John Duff fully assumes, is palpable in the video for “Do It”, especially in terms of the sets and accessories. The liveliest – or rascal – minds will no doubt have spotted the jockstrap the singer wears when exercising in the video. But we will especially remember the unsubtle way in which he refers to his icons, whether Janet Jackson (through a poster on the wall of his bedroom) or even Britney Spears (thanks to a t-shirt that we would like to have in our wardrobe).
