A video of the break of Real’s game at Anfield against Liverpool in which the “merengues” suffered a 2-0 defeat for the League Phase of the Champions League is making the rounds on the internet.
The French ace appeared to be ignored by his teammates in the Anfield dressing room at half-time. After trying to get Jude Bellingham’s attention and the England international ace not even looking his way, the 25-year-old leaned back against the wall and looked distressed ahead of the second half.
Something serious must happen to Mbappé…

It may just be that Bellingham didn’t notice that Mbappe was trying to get his attention in the dressing room, but there’s no denying that the 25-year-old looks cut off from the rest of the team. Even on the pitch, he seems to be trying too hard to do something on his own, rather than using the options available to him. Playing for the most famous club in the world and following in the footsteps of Europe’s best is a heavy burden and it seems to be weighing on Mbappe at the moment.
What’s next for Mbappe?
It is unlikely that Mbappe will lose his place, especially since Vinicius and Rodrigo are injured. The more minutes he gets, the more likely he is to return to the form that earned him the move to Real in the first place. A goal or two against Getafe on Sunday would be the perfect way to silence his naysayers.
Be that as it may, it is now obvious that at Real there is now a big problem within the team that Carlo Ancelotti is called upon to solve immediately.
