‘Video shows frame iPhone 12 Pro, confirms LiDAR camera’

IPhone 12 Pro casing leaked

The video comes from the well-known Apple tasty EverythingApplePro. The frame of the iPhone 12 Pro bears many similarities with that of the iPhone 11 Pro. Yet there are also a few important differences.

The most noticeable change is the side of the frame. Previous rumors already pointed out that the iPhone 12 Pro gets flat edges. This video seems to confirm that. The design of the iPhone 12 Pro therefore shows many similarities with that of the iPhone 4 from 2010.

The camera module is also interesting. Three cameras can still be seen in the housing of the iPhone 12 Pro. Presumably it is again a primary sensor, a wide-angle lens and a telecamera. There are rumors that that telecamera this year three times optical zoom offers. With the iPhone 11 Pro you can only zoom in twice.

iPhone 12 Pro gets LiDAR camera

In addition to the three cameras, we see two smaller holes. One of these is undoubtedly intended for the flash. The other hole will probably have a LiDAR scanner. We saw this earlier on the iPad Pro. With such a depth sensor, your iPhone can estimate distances much more accurately. That makes the smartphone very suitable for augmented reality. The scanner could also provide better portrait photos.

On the side of the frame is what looks like a smart connector. However, this is probably a 5G antenna. All iPhone 12 models are rumored to support it new network.
