WARTAKOTALIVE.COM, GAMBIR — Even though Ramadan has passed a week ago, a number of health workers (Nakes) at the Jakarta Hajj Hospital (RS) apparently have not received the full holiday allowance (THR).
They are only given THR of 25 percent of the total basic salary they receive each month.
Not to mention, a number of employees have also demanded that the Hajj Hospital pay BPJS Employment arrears since 2020.
This was conveyed by Indi Irawan as Chair of the Jakarta Hajj Hospital Workers Union when met in the middle of the May Day action, in the Horse Statue area, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Monday (1/5/2023).
“Our THR is paid 25 percent of this year’s basic salary. And this is history, previously and in 2020 there were also those who were paid only IDR 1 million, some IDR 2 million,” said Indi.
“Even then there are still debts, including salaries. Some of this month’s salaries have not been paid off. Salaries are paid in installments,” he continued.
In fact, said Indi, employees’ THR should be paid 1.5 of the basic salary. And this has been submitted in the form of a draft joint working regulation (PKB) since 2006.
However, the draft has not been signed because the Director of the Hajj Hospital refused to sign it.

“So now the Hajj Hospital doesn’t have company regulations. What is there is a decree continuing the company regulations from the CEO,” he explained.
Furthermore, Indi admitted that this year she only received THR of IDR 1.6 million.
He also mentioned, while working at the place, no benefits were given.
Instead of receiving benefits, employees’ wages are in arrears.
“There are no allowances, they are in arrears. Shift fees and attendance allowances have not been paid. This month’s basic salary is reduced by allowances, transport is Rp. 400,000 and Rp. 500,000 is not paid this month,” he explained.

Indi also hopes that on this May Day celebration, their demands can be heard and their rights paid.
“We demand the government, in this case the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) as the largest shareholder, namely 93 percent, to immediately liquidate PT RS Haji Jakarta,” said Indi.
“Because the regulations on the Hospital Law say that the government cannot have a profit-making legal entity, YLKI was sued at that time in 2004 and it had gone to the Supreme Court to dissolve the PT. But to this day PT RS Haji Jakarta has not been dissolved either,” he continued.

According to him, as a government-owned hospital, the state cannot disburse funds to companies. Thus, a number of services were disrupted and had an impact on the patients being treated.
“Finally the service was disrupted, the facilities could not be maintained properly then we are now managed by UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, but the management is still constrained by legal entities,” he stated. (m40)
