VIDEO: Samsung will present a Razr-style folding phone with a thin glass screen like hair

The new ‘smartphone’ of type ‘clamshell’ could be the solution to almost all the problems presented by the Galaxy Fold, says the CNET portal.

Already in the middle of this month Samsung will present its second folding phone, the Galaxy Z Flip, which will feature a ultra thin glass screen and will become a great rival of Razr from Motorola, according to reported this Sunday the CNET portal.

It is likely that the future device of the South Korean company will go down in history as the first folding smartphone that introduces an ultra-thin glass screen (it will be so fine as a hair human) that folds in half.

This design element promises to solve almost every problems which presents the Galaxy Fold, says the portal, which compiled several expert reports in its article.

Hidden hinge to avoid dust

Samsung launches its $ 2,000 folding phone and turns out to be so fragile that it is sold with special recommendations for use

It is expected that the Galaxy Z Flip (or Galaxy Bloom, as it is not yet clear what it will be called) is smaller than the Galaxy Fold, and will have a 6.7 inch screen when deployed, unlike the Fold, whose screen is 7.3 inches.

The Galaxy Z Flip will also have a hidden hinge, which could help prevent dust and particles from entering the device.

In addition, the new ‘clamshell’ type phone will have two 12-megapixel rear cameras – a main and an ultra-wide one – and a 10-megapixel front camera with autofocus. It is also possible that it offers the possibility of recording 8K videos.

The ‘smartphone’ will be equipped with the Snapdragon 855 Plus processor and a 3,300 mAh battery, and will have 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It will work with the Android 10 operating system and will be sold in two colors, black and purple, for about $ 1,400.

However, the Galaxy Z Flip will not have support for the 5G network. Nor will it have a headphone jack.
