MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The Russian Army has begun training its military units equipped with nuclear-capable Yars intercontinental missiles, the Defense Ministry reported.
“In accordance with the preparation plan of the Nuclear Forces in 2023, the Nuclear Forces command commission carries out a comprehensive inspection of the capabilities of the Omsk group of forces that involves exercises with the Novosibirsk group equipped with the Yars missiles [versión móvil]”, the institution said in a statement.
The entity specified that the commission will verify the coordination between both units in the maneuvers that will be carried out in three regions of the country. In particular, the forces will be trained in camouflaging intercontinental missiles and combating drones and other modern means of aerial reconnaissance.
