It was already announced that the Latvian actor, long loved by the nation, due to worsening health problems Rodolfo Plepis he stayed in a retirement home. At that time, he told “Privatā Dzīve” magazine that he had been living there for some time, but he was very quiet there and hardly anything happened.

“It’s very quiet here, because the nursing home is mostly occupied by people who are eighty, ninety and older. We only meet in the cafeteria when we eat, then each of us goes back to our rooms,” he told the era.

Of how he ended up in a nursing home away from his family, the actor revealed that he wanted it himself so that his daughter could rest with him: “It’s difficult, because unfortunately it’s all on his shoulders.”

Rudolf’s daughter Victoria is raising his daughter Maria and is the main breadwinner of the family.

At the end of the year, the actor revealed to the magazine “Privatā Dzīve” that he will return home by Christmas and hopes that the whole of next year can also be spent with his family. He also revealed that he will visit his ophthalmologist when he is in Riga: “He is a very good doctor, but I still have a serious health problem that modern medicine cannot solve. I have had several doctors, but at least this one is trying to do something and not just wring your hands.”

It has already been announced that Plėpis was operated on for glaucoma ahead of time, but the problem was very serious: the optic nerve was dead. Even the actor is not hiding: recently his eyesight has deteriorated a lot.

On Christmas, Rudolph’s daughter Victoria, who is also a talented singer, posted a touching video on social media, where the talented actor can be seen sincerely reciting Jānis Poruk’s poem “Angel”.
