Honor has just released a video that reveals the particular design of its new folding smartphone.
In the screenshot, we see that the Magic V doesn’t come in a clamshell format, but instead features a book-mode design. We show you the video below.
The Honor Magic V’s hinge mechanism allows the two halves of the screen to fit together perfectly
Honor has been unveiling some secrets of its first foldable smartphone on social media. This time, to further arouse the interest of users, published a 50-second video showing the design of the model.
As we can glimpse in the published video, the Magic V is characterized by a design that refers to an open book, rejecting the shell format of some folding models from other brands already available on the market.
Another detail also visible in the video is that the hinge mechanism, when closed, allows the two halves of the screen to fit together perfectly.
According to previously released information, the Honor Magic V is designed to provide a big-screen experience. In that sense, it is expected that the foldable will be equipped with an eight-inch interior screen and a 6.5-inch exterior. Which compared to the new Huawei P50 Pocket’s one-inch exterior display is a giant step.
First collapsible smartphone branded with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor
For the rest, it is confirmed that the new folding Magic V is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Incidentally, this will quite possibly be the first folding smartphone to include the latest Qualcomm processor.
More specifications are not yet known, but soon we may have more details revealed online, not least because the brand is expected to launch its first model of its kind on the market in January 2022.
Honor 60 SE on the way
But it seems that Honor has more trump cards up its sleeve and rumors circulating in the Web world show that the brand is preparing the launch of another variant of its Honor 60. This time, it would be the most accessible version in price and with functions more basic than “older brothers”. We are talking about the Honor 60 SE.
From Chinese certification sites it was possible to see that this model will be equipped with the Snapdragon 778G processor, as well as having a triple rear camera configuration with a design similar to the iPhone 13 Pro.
For now, it is pointed out that Honor will present the model on December 31st, but there is still no official confirmation that on the last day of the year the Chinese brand will present yet another element of the Honor 60 “family”.
