The vice-president of Éric Zemmour’s far-right Reconquest party, Marion-Maréchal Le Pen, was the guest of RTL Matin. The politician will be head of the list in the European elections in June 2024. In his column, Philippe Caverivière supported, not without irony, this decision: “It is wise to let Marion lead for the Europeans. Éric Zemmour, it would not be very careful: his eyes barely reach above the steering wheel, it’s a shot that will end up in a ditch. You imagine a car race with the two Erics, Zemmour and Ciotti, each at the wheel of a racing car? You don’t see them, çIt looks like Cars, the cartoon with the cars that all by themselves“, he tackled.

Before adding: “So, I attack the physical, it’s trueIt’s not good… But isn’t this also what the far right regularly does by pointing the finger at a part of the population?“, he asked.

The comedian also returned to the president’s statement, who explained that comedians are a “barometer” of society. Philippe Caverivière was delighted with the way he is considered by the Head of State: “Well, it’s better to be a barometer than a thermometer, I don’t want to go around the brown bulge of all the ministers…“.
