WARTAKOTALIVE.COM, JAKARTA – After being named a suspect in alleged blasphemy, Panji Gumilang as the leader of the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School has not been arrested.
The Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Djuhandani Rahardjo Puro, said that Panji’s detention status would be determined within the next 1×24 hours.
“Investigators still have 1×24 hours. So our investigation process is currently only carrying out the arrest process,” said Djuhandani, to journalists, Tuesday (1/8/2023) evening.
“For further details, we will see the progress of the investigation that was carried out tonight,” continued the one-star general.
Meanwhile, Panji Gumilang is still being investigated even though he has been named a suspect.
Before being named a suspect, Panji was questioned for four hours from 15.00 WIB to 19.00 WIB.

“Currently, PG’s brother is undergoing further investigation as a suspect,” he said.
In this case, his party has examined 40 witnesses and 17 expert witnesses. (m31)
