TRIBUNNEWS.COM – A retired man from Florida save the puppy from alligators in the pool using only his bare hands.
His action was recorded in a video which later went viral on social media.
Reported by Insider, Richard Wilbanks (74) said the instinct to save his dog immediately emerged when his 3-month-old Cavalier King Charles, Gunner, was grabbed by an alligator in October.
The incident took place at Wilbanks’ backyard pool in Estero, Florida USA.

Dramatic footage shows Wilbanks plunging waist-deep into water.
He opened the alligator’s jaw so that Gunner could escape.
“We were just walking by the pool and an alligator came out of the water like a missile,” Wilbanks told CNN.
“I never thought alligators could be that fast.”
“That was fast. I jumped into the water.”
“Opening the alligator’s mouth is very difficult.”
